Ski Paradise 2010/11

Wow, the year is moving fast. Only a little over two weeks before I head back down to “Paradise”. Ski Paradise in Acapulco is where you not only can be so happy that you improved your skiing, but feel really sad that you have to leave!! The Villa overlooking the Pacific, will make you want to sit there forever! Got to be careful though, as hard as you may ski, the food will for sure offset that work!!

Costa Rica 2011

I will be coaching in Costa Rica the week of January 15th-21st 2011. Jim has informed me he still has some spots left open for that week. Want to get out of the cold, have some great skiing and adventure with what this awesome country has to offer. Check out the zip line video on the video page!!! Team Mapple is finally back home in Florida. Wow what a summer, a whirlwind summer, but awesome. Over 12000 miles were logged on the bus from May 19th through August 18th, then flying to England and Montreal.
I set out alone to start the trip as family (Elyssa school) was not out yet and her volleyball schedule did not allow for them to be at the start of the trip. Two clinics on the way to the Masters got me in the swing of things. From there I began my trip West.
By the time I got to TX, I missed not having my dog Tank, so a big thanks to Aidan Willers for driving non stop to Dallas with Tank and truck! Talk about someone looking worn out!!!
ALL of my clinics were wonderful. I enjoyed coaching the skiers of all levels, whether in the slalom course or just free skiing. I made so many new friends and got to enjoy being re aquainted with some old ones. I would like to give a very special thanks to ALL the coordinators of the clinic days, and the lake owners for the use of the lakes and boats. A special thanks to Kerry in BC, that was trip of a lifetime and you worked so hard to make all things happen. I really look forward to coming back next year.
From every skier and clinic we did this year, my motivation for this sport has grown, thank you. I love feeding off the passion you all have for such a great sport.

We are beginning to plan for 2011, as to how the Team Mapple tour will look and where we will be going, so please, drop us a note if you are interested in getting on the schedule, that way I can plan a route.

Again, thank you to everyone involved and have a great off season. Go do something fun!!!

Team Mapple 200

Picked up the new Team Mapple 200 today. I thought with spending the last few years working on this new boat that it would be a little ho-hum to actually get one as a team boat. The boat was introduced last July and due to customer demand for the boat, I got mine Feb 3rd 2010! That is all OK with me, especially to see how well accepted the new boat is. I will wait behind any customer, in fact to the point that even this boat can be bought anytime I am sure. Will be out on the water tomorrow shooting a new CC podcast about the boat and delivery. Check it out in a week or so at Nautiques.com.
